Islands of Adventure: Dragon Challenge

The Dragon Challenge

You'll take part in this adventure while you explore the Wizarding World of Harry Potter, at Universal Studios' Islands of Adventure. The thrills you'll experience during this adventure won't be easily forgotten!

The challenge waits for you in the deepest, darkest part of the castle. The walkway leading you to the castle is adorned with banners announcing the Triwizard Tournament, as well as banners representing the four contestants.

You'll be greeted by Weasly's crashed flying Ford Anglia - still running. Still honking.

You'll also pass by Hagrid's Hut and the Champion's tent.

Then you'll make way into the dark passageways of the castle. When you're in the castle, you can't miss the Goblet of Fire trophy displayed high on a mantle.

You'll move on from there, beginning your trip through drafty, dimly lit passages. Look above you and check out illuminated floating candles.

But your exploration won't end at magical floating candles.

Continue further into more long, dark, narrow tunnels, and watch out for a large, cracked wooden door. If you listen closely, you'll hear something behind it.

It'll sound like growling from a large beast. It is growling from a large beast.

If you wait long enough, the dragons behind the door will sense you're there and lash out at the door trying to get through.

At the other end of tunnels, you'll arrive at the tent where the Dragon challenge is waiting for you.

Ahead, you will see the boarding area where you will face the really thrilling part of this challenge!

You'll have to choose which dragon you want to conquer: the Chinese Fireball or the Hungarian Horntail. Above you, in the star-lit sky, you'll see silhouettes of giant, winged creatures flying overhead.

It's time to face the Dragon Challenge!

Dragon challenge is an inverted duel roller coaster- the only one in the world!

It is made up of two tracks.

The Chinese Fireball and Hungarian Horntail navigate two different tracks and offer two complete different and exciting rides. The Chinese Fireball can go up to 60 miles per hour, while Hungarian Horntail runs at top speed of 55 mph.

Although the Chinese Fireball is faster, the Hungarian Horntail has more loops and twists. Both rides last for two minutes and 25 seconds and include five inversions each.

A huge surprise you'll experience on this attraction is the near-misses where you'll within inches from walls, land, and riders on the other coaster.

Experience this attraction. Take the excitement and the memories home with you!

Adventures of Bass Fishing

Now, there are increasingly people trying to find out and learn what the buzz is all about. Bass fishing is more just catching a fish. Its now almost getting those prized big bass and having the chance to show it off. For novices there are lots more to bass fishing that meets the eye.

1st, try to know the lures that you must have to love bass fishing.

And do you know what the top 3 lures for catching Bass are? Though there was no particular gauge that was presented by the investigators, a survey was performed among the pro bass fishermen and it was felt that plastic worms was the most patronized and ranking on the second and 3rd place were the spinner bait and then the crank bait.

Even so, picking one of these 3 is not enough. Some factors are still needed to be believed. Primarily, you must believe if it is better to cover a smaller segment of water soundly or skim across a larger area as quickly as possible to find fish.

Using a worm is slower, but absolutely efficient and is very seductive to Bass. They do best when the fish are schooled over a particular structure.

The trouble that usually arise with fishing with a worm is the inability to sense strikes. Generally the inability to sense them is due to a sinker that is too heavy and a line that is too thick.

To help you to overcome this predicament you’re advised to use a variable buoyancy worm using lead strip sinkers. Here are some of its advantages:

• No moving lead on the line to dampen the feeling of a gentle pickup
• You can apply the precise amount of lead to deliver the worm action needed
• It comes through easier for a bass to inhale the worm
• It aids in hook setting
• It is easier to shake loose from snags
• You’ll be able to cause the worm to hang virtually suspended over the bottom when fishing shallow water.

Fishing Adventure in Canada

Recreational fishing is one effective stress reliever. Other than the health benefits offered by low cholesterol fish protein, fishing gives an endorphin-like effect to the fisher which helps improve his mood and relieve stress. A good fisher should know the best place to go to start the adventure. It would also be best if you can find a place of rich resources where you don't have to wait for a day to catch one fish. Otherwise, you will end up frustrated and stressed. In most temperate climates like in Canada, you can find a suitable place to fish and you can get it easy. Fishing enthusiasts know that the best destinations are the lakes and rivers in Canada.

Canada's reputation as a renowned site for recreational fishing is incontestable. The country is dotted with thousand of lakes teeming with freshwater fish. Recreational fishing in Canada is regulated though.

One has to have a license if he is over sixteen and has to be accompanied by a guide or adult if under sixteen. Professional hobbyists know that securing a license is nothing compared to the fun and thrill of catching salmon to walleye to steel heads, sturgeons, chisel mouths, basses, mullets, trouts, carps, perch, pike and a lot more.

A good number of lakes and rivers in Canada are perfect for recreational fishing like Lake Superior in Ontario. It is considered the largest lake on the place. Though it is a little bit saturated with commercial fishers, it will not hurt to try how great it is. Another lake is Huron which is perfect for enthusiasts who want to spend longer days fishing. There are communities in the area which offer services like rentals and guides. This place is also known for angler fishing. There is also the famous Lake Erie which is considered to be most productive because of its warm water. It is also known for its walleye fish. It's also hard to forget about the smallest of the lakes, Lake Ontario, that seldom freezes during winter because of its depth.

If you are not going "big time", Lake Nipigon is just located north of Lake Superior. It's as perfect as the "big four" of the lakes. As the list of lakes continues, you can find choices like Lake Simcoe in Southern Ontario, Lake Sinclair, Great Slave Lake, Lake Okanagan, Lake Winnipeg, Lake Louise, Shuswap Lake, Mackenzie Lake and the Lake of the Woods. Of course, there are others to choose from. You can also choose to be in small rivers and ponds which are suitable for picnic and camping. Whichever place appeals to you, it is always worthwhile to try one in Canada.
